Performance listing – Blue Remembered Hills
Performance listing for Blue Remembered Hills (1999), presented at Oxford Youth Theatre, Pegasus Theatre. Written by Dennis Potter and directed by David Glass.
1943 in the Forest of Dean and a gang of seven year olds, played by adult actors, act out their fears, hostilities and rivalries.
Innocent nostalgia is shattered in a playfully anarchic staging of Potter’s classic tale. Performed by a multiracial ensemble in a highly physical European style on a set of old, discarded mattresses.
